Day 2: GC columns, GC detectors including MSD and Data analysis

Day 2 of the Complete GC and the Practical Essentials of GC courses.
If you are only interested in finding out more about GC Columns, GC Detectors (including MS) and Data Analysis then please attend this one day.
Firstly, analytical columns for gas chromatography are covered in detail including the theory, optimisation and applications of packed and capillary columns, the separation process and types available. This is followed by a brief introduction into the types of detectors used in gas chromatography both universal and selective. Flame ionisation (FID), thermal conductivity (TCD) and electron capture (ECD) detectors are covered in detail followed by the types of MSDs available, ionisation techniques, mass filters and detectors. Mass spectra and library searching takes us very smoothly into data analysis where we look at reasons for performing the analysis: qualitative analysis, identification, quantitation and semi-quantitation are covered.
For the full training course outline please email courses@anthias.co.uk.
To gain the full knowledge of gas chromatography it is highly recommended to attend the full 5-day course.
To attend just this one day the price is £220 plus 20% VAT.
