Before attending this one day you should have a good knowledge of gas chromatography and the techniques covered in days 1-3. Firstly, the method development process, how to test the method and method optimisation are examined in detail. This knowledge, along with the basic knowledge of GC acquired in days 1-3 are then put to the test in case studies. The last part of the day covers a brief introduction to some advanced techniques that can be used for difficult or complex samples and include deconvolution, GCxGC and chemometrics.
