On the 18th of April Dr Diane Turner attended the Royal Society of Chemistry Analytical Sciences Community Council Past Presidents luncheon as the current president, at Burlington House, London.
The cream of Analytical Chemistry along with their plus ones enjoyed a delicious three course luncheon and chat in the refined atmosphere of Burlington House, a welcome perk of their tireless work volunteering their time for the wider chemistry community.
The Presidents are pictured here in the Main Library of the Royal Society of Chemistry, Burlington House wearing their replica medals. Diane's medal features a painting of Theophilus Redwood (the First President of the Society of Public Analysts 1874). A replica is used as the originals are kept securely in a safe due to their historical and monetary value. The originals have elements of platinum and gold within their design.
