Stir-Bar Sorptive Extraction (SBSE)

Extraction technique by means of direct extraction from liquid phase or headspace onto a sorptive layer coated onto a stirrer bar. The stir-bar can then be desorbed thermally or using a solvent and analysed by GC or HPLC. Remote sampling is possible, the stir-bar is then returned to the laboratory for analysis.
