As proud partners of HEaTED (Higher Education and Technician Educational Development) the training arm of NTDC (National Technician Development Centre), we were delighted to attend the NTDC Partner Forum at the gorgeous Heartspace Atrium at Sheffield Hallam University.
We enjoyed chatting to many of the delegates hailing from Sheffield, Manchester, London and Liverpool and representing many different disciplines such as Biology, Art, Chemistry and Computing. We were delighted to meet our fellow exhibitors and swap notes.
The sessions were enlightening and informative, and we were grateful to attend a couple during breaks from our table. The closing talk from Neil Guthie (Edinburgh Napier University) on his project funded by his winning prize from the Technician Development Fund 2023 gave a fascinating overview of ‘Promoting a Technical Career to the Next Generation’.
Coming away from this event we are thrilled to have cemented our partnership with HEaTED as we recognise the importance of supporting and developing technician careers due to the vital role they have across the subject board in academia.
